US company Conwed, a leading plastic netting manufacturer, will share its latest innovations at VISION 2014, the Consumer Products Conference organized by INDA in Dallas, Texas (January 27-30, 2014). Celebrating its 13th anniversary, VISION gathers key professionals from across the consumer products value chain to deliver the best in strategic information and business networking.

Conwed manufactures elastomeric netting that has become an alternative to other stretch materials such as spandex, films and elastic nonwovens. “Our Rebound elastomeric netting is a unique product line in constant evolution. Our latest innovation is the development of a flat version that combines customized hysteresis performance with a smooth and even surface for those elastic composites in need of a specific look and feel, especially in waistbands and side panel applications,” said Ivan Soltero, Strategic Marketing Manager, Conwed.

The new Flat Rebound is the latest addition to a wide range of elastomeric options that Conwed offers to manufacturers of adult incontinence briefs and underwear, baby training pants, therapeutic wraps, bandages and other consumer product applications.

“For over 45 years, Conwed has been the partner of choice in product development for the nonwovens industry. Our R&D and engineering teams thrive on exploring out-of-the-box concepts and we have an open mindset in developing new and unexplored applications,” said Soltero.

According to the company, Conwed netting is an essential component in hundreds of industrial and consumer products in many different industries worldwide. From automotive, filtration, medical, hygiene and disposable products to agriculture, apparel and building and construction applications, Conwed plastic netting performs a diverse range of performance capabilities.

Conwed manufactures extruded, oriented and circular and raschel knitted netting with customization capabilities. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Conwed has five manufacturing locations on two continents and a global distribution network.
