Nilit debuts with high-performance fibres at Techtextil

11 June 2009, Migdal Ha'emek, Israel —Nilit, a global leader in the production of nylon 6.6, will be exhibiting at Techtextil in Frankfurt next week for the first time ever.

Nilit’s booth will be located in Hall 4.1, Stand H58, at this year’s show, which will be held 16-18 June, in Frankfurt, Germany. Techtextil Frankfurt is the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens.

“We look forward to showcasing woven and knitted fabrics and finished garments made with our high-performance yarns at Techtextil Frankfurt,” says Oded Breier, Nilit’s Marketing & ROW Sales Manager. Along with Breier, members of Nilit’s sales, marketing, and development staff will attend.

The Nilit booth will feature the Company’s range of high-performance products made from Nilit’s innovative nylon 6.6 yarns, as well as products that also feature Invista’s Cordura brand for durable fabrics.

Visitors to Nilit’s booth will be able to see the following products:

Nilit Bodyfresh

Has antibacterial properties inside the polymer to prevent bacteria that cause body odour. The durable, highly resilient, flexible fibre handles well, making it especially well suited to activewear, dancewear, and other sportswear.

Nilit Aquarius

Made from special engineered polymers, has micro-channels in the bundle of fibres that actually absorb and carry moisture away from the body. The yarn's moisture management properties will not disappear even after repeated washings

High-Tenacity Yarns

Very lightweight and are used to produce high-strength, durable fabrics (for example, spinnakers, paragliders and parachutes). Extremely high quality is critical for these yarns as they are exposed to great variance in weights and weather conditions.

Cordura

Cordura brand fabrics provide exceptional resistance to abrasion, tears and scuffs. With an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, Cordura fabrics offer lightweight durability. The combination of outstanding abrasion resistance with performance and versatility mean Cordura brand fabrics can be used in garments ranging from motorcycle apparel to comfortable leisurewear.

According to show organizers, despite the state of the global economy, 12% of the exhibitors at this year’s Techtextil are exhibiting for the first time. The last Techtextil, held in 2007, attracted 23,200 visitors from more than 80 countries.

Cordura fabric is a registered trademark of Invista and is used under license to Nilit for nylon fabric products.
