TenCate Advanced Armour positioned to meet UK needs

8 September 2009, Almelo - TenCate Advanced Armour has with effect from 3 April 2009 been expanded to include TenCate Advanced Armour UK and is now member of both Defence Manufacturers Association and Society of Maritime Industries.

TenCate Advanced Armour UK was established earlier this year in order to support the UK requirement for innovative state-of-the-art composite armour solutions. The membership of both the Defence Manufactures Association and the Society of Maritime Industries will assist TenCate Advanced Armour in support of UK requirements.

TenCate is a leading supplier of armoured protection solutions for European, American and Asian customers. The establishment of the Company in the UK is the first logical step for TenCate Advanced Armour EMEA in the full development of a UK footprint, the company says.

General Marketing Manager Søren G. Larsen explains: “TenCate Advanced Armour EMEA has already provided a substantial amount of material and products to a number of UK requirements over the past five years, including Type 45 Destroyers and major vehicle programmes. Thanks to the establishment of our UK Company we are now positioned to be involved in many more. The office is located in Bristol and has a professional sales and marketing organisation that is about to be expanded to include research & development facilities to seek more efficient solutions to protect service men and women in the theatres of operation”.
