Ahlstrom raises prices on wipes fabrics

15 December 2009, Helsinki - Ahlstrom, a global leader in the development and manufacture of high performance nonwovens and specialty papers, today announced price increases on its nonwoven wipes fabrics, as a consequence of the rise of raw material costs.

 The company says that the price increase will affect nonwoven grades sold globally for a wide range of consumer and industrial wipes applications. Specific details will be discussed with each customer individually by the appropriate business teams in the coming days.

 Ahlstrom is a leading manufacturer of wipes fabrics, offering a broad range of materials and technologies for diverse wipes applications. The products are manufactured by Ahlstrom Home & Personal Nonwovens business area in several production sites across Europe, North America and South America.
