Applicant:           COROPLAST FRITZ MUELLER GMBH [DE]

Inventor(s):        WITTIG GUELAY [DE]; SOEHNGEN MARCUS [DE]; FRIGGE CHRISTOPH [DE]; LODDE CHRISTOPH [DE]

Abstract of EP 1927639  (A1)
The technical self-winding textile adhesive tape for taping of cable loom in automotive industry, comprises a thermally hardened carrier (1) having a hardened cross-linked needle non-woven (3) formed from fibers (2) and a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating (4) applied on a side of the carrier. The adhesive tape has a weight per unit area of 30-60 g/m2>, a tape thickness of 0.20-0.30 mm, a breaking force of 20-50 N/cm, an elongation at break of 20-50 percent, an adhesive force on a blunt edge of 2-10 N/cm, a noise damping of more than 5 dB(A) and flagging of less than 5 mm. The technical self-winding textile adhesive tape for taping of cable loom in automotive industry, comprises a thermally hardened carrier (1) having a hardened cross-linked needle non-woven (3) formed from fibers (2) and a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating (4) applied on a side of the carrier.; The adhesive tape has a weight per unit area of 30-60 g/m2>, a tape thickness of 0.20-0.30 mm, a breaking force of 20-50 N/cm, an elongation at break of 20-50 percent, an adhesive force on a blunt edge of 2-10 N/cm, a noise damping of more than 5 dB(A) and flagging of less than 5 mm. The adhesive coating consists of UV-cross-linked acrylate adhesive or synthetic rubber adhesive and is applied on the carrier with a weight per unit area of 30-100 g/m2>. The connection from the strip-shaped carrier and the adhesive coating is handtearable transverse to the longitudinal direction of the carrier. The surface of the carrier has a structure, when it develops due to calendering with an embossing roller. The fiber of the carrier has a fiber length of 40-60 mm and fiber strength of 1.7-6 dtex. The carrier is thermo-fixed. An independent claim is included for a cable loom.
