Asia Outdoor will celebrate its 10th anniversary in Nanjing, China, from 23-26 July, welcoming more than 450 exhibitors, showing a growth of about 20% compared to the last year.

“After the unexpected death of Knut Jaeger, we have re-positioned ourselves together with our partners in Nanjing and found an excellent way to further develop our successful exhibitions,” said Stefan Reisinger, head of OutDoor and Eurobike.

“The close and trusting cooperation with the Chinese Outdoor Association – the union of all market-leading Chinese Outdoor brands – is what makes the Asia Outdoor the centre of the Chinese Outdoor scene.”

Industry support

Asia Outdoor is being supported by the Chinese Outdoor Association (COA), which decided at its annual general meeting that it would jointly and solely take part in the Asia Outdoor.

The Association includes well-known brands such as Toread, The North Face, Kailas, Northland, Mobi Garden and Scaler. COA’s decision is based on similar decisions by associations in the US and Europe, which are also concentrating on exclusively outdoor exhibitions.

Exhibitors

As the biggest professional trade show in China’s outdoor industry, Asia Outdoor has ten years of experience and gained great trust and support from the industry. Brands such as Alpinex are coming back to the show with their new collections this year.

Other returning exhibitors, including Actionfox, Bemis, Beaume, Camel, Craft, Deuter, Eagle Creek, Fire-Maple, Gregory, Kailas, Keen, Leki, Lowa, Mobi Garden, MSR, Northland, Odlo, Osprey, Primaloft, Salomon, Scaler, Scarpa, Tecnica, Therm-a-rest, Tittallon, Toread, Vaude, and new-comers, including Halti, Nathan, One Way, Reima, Swix and Ulvang, will bring their new outdoor products and technology to Nanjing.

Besides product presentation from hundreds of outdoor brands, there are also a number of supporting programmes.

COA Outdoor China Summit

The first COA Outdoor China Summit hosted by COA will take place during Asia Outdoor 2015. Outdoor brands, distributors, e-commerce dealers and media representatives will be invited to discuss hot topics and prominent problems facing the Chinese outdoor industry.

Outdoor Club Village

The village will provide a gathering centre for outdoor clubs, where registered clubs can display their classic outdoor routes, exchange information and look for business opportunities with brands.

Running Village

After last year’s superb success, the Asia Outdoor 2015’s Running Village will double in size. Over 20 brands have confirmed their participation in the Running Village, such as Adidas, AminoMax, Camelbak, FuelBlet, Halo, Kailas, Nathan, Northland, Odlo, Osprey, Pohinix, Raidlight, Rudy Project, Salomon, Smartwool, Suunto, Tecnica, Tifosi, U.CR+, Ulvang, Uto, and Vibram. New elements, such as running demo shops, TRX training and sports protection courses are also included.

Third Night Running Race

On the third night of Asia Outdoor, July 25, the Third Night Running Race takes place at Purple Mountain in Nanjing. There will be lights and reflective materials from outdoor brands to guide the way.

Water Village and Diving Village

The two villages, as their names indicate, are special areas for presenting water-related products, such as canoes and diving equipment. Asia Outdoor is cooperating with kayak brands Riot and Silver marine, and diving associations, such as Padi, on the project. Outside the halls, there will be a pool for testing.
