Technical Fibre Products (TFP), the leading nonwoven manufacturer, will be unveiling its latest nonwoven developments at the JEC Americas and Techtextil trade fairs for composite materials, technical textiles and nonwovens that will take place concurrently in Atlanta, GA, from 3-5 May.

The innovative nonwovens on display will range from TFP’s new Tecnofire mat, which delivers fire protection on demand, to the company’s lightweight Optiveil thermoplastic composite toughening solutions.

Applications

TFP’s nonwovens offer a wealth of solutions for composites. These include enabling a high quality, resin rich surface finish whilst simultaneously imparting surface functionality such as EMI shielding, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, electrical conductivity and static dissipation, the company reports.

Further applications include preventing galvanic corrosion by acting as an electrically isolating layer, providing a lightweight, effective carrier or support for adhesive films, or acting as a resin flow medium to provide enhanced resin transportation in both inter-laminar and surface regions.

Customer needs

TFP is an expert in creating nonwoven solutions to meet specific performance, processing and aesthetic needs, according to the manufacturer. This is enabled by extensive product development capabilities, ranging from proof of concept lab work to trials, full scale manufacture and converting via lamination and nanocoating.

The company’s team will be available at JEC Americas from 3-5 May to provide more information about TFP’s innovative materials and how TFP can help deliver a solution to a specific technical challenge.
