BMSvision monitoring systems at ITMA Asia 2014

BMSvision will exhibit the latest version of its Manufacturung Execution Systems (MES) for weaving, knitting, tufting and spinning, at ITMA Asia 2014 that will be taking place in Shanghai from16-20 June. All of these systems include software modules for real time machine monitoring, production scheduling, fabric inspection, yarn inventory management and traceability.

Anti-ageing fibre in Yaluronica cosmetotextile line

Meryl Hyaluronan, the anti-ageing fibre produced by Nylstar, has been selected as the fibre to develop GT Calze’s new and exclusive Yaluronica cosmeto-textile product line. The new product line was showcased during Cosmoprof Bologna 2014, which took place at the weekend. The launch is expected to mark a new direction for the cosmeto-textile segment.

RadiciGroup staple fibre portfolio at Index 2014

RadiciGroup will exhibit its product lines – Dylar polypropylene spunbond nonwoven specialties and Dorix, and Radilon Staple Fibre staple products – at the Index 2014 international nonwovens exhibition that will be held from 8 to 11 April in Geneva, Switzerland. “We have always been in the nonwovens market with our Radilon nylon staple portfolio. Now, showcasing our products at Index is an excellent opportunity for us, since it is an additional display window for our nylon staple products,” explained Filippo Bona, of Radici Yarn R&D. “For a couple of years now, we have been considering certain industrial applications for our nonwovens, optimising our Dorix products specifically for these kinds of uses. Now, we are introducing a wide range of nylon 6 and 6.10 products to this particular market segment and are aiming at extending our portfolio with products having even better performance over a range of properties by the end of this year.”

Craft introduces eVent waterproof fabrics for cycling line

Craft has introduced eVent fabrics in its Tech Rain Jacket for cycling enthusiasts for Spring 2014 season, adding to eVent’s family of sporting goods brands that use the original air permeable and waterproof technology. Date change for ISPO Beijing

Messe München International is moving ISPO Beijing to a time slot one month earlier than usual in 2015. This one-time change had to be made because of the Chinese New Year, which is celebrated during the usual date range for ISPO Beijing. Asia’s most powerful sports business platform will be held from 28-31 January 2015 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing.

TenCate Millenia fabrics selected by Dutch fire brigade

The Dutch Zaanstreek-Waterland fire brigade has opted for TenCate high-tech fabrics in their turnout gear. The protective materials from TenCate will be used in 800 new fire-fighting suits that will be supplied in partnership with the LHD Group in Germany. TenCate Millenia fabrics will be used for the lightweight outer shell, the protective thermal liner and reinforcement parts. The first 285 suits are expected to be delivered in July.

Greater focus on clothing industry at Texprocess 2015

The international textile and clothing industry will be presenting itself for the third time at Texprocess, the leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials, that will be taking place from 4-7 May 2015 in Frankfurt. “Thanks to a clear increase in visitors and robust exhibitors’ figures, Texprocess continued to consolidate its position as a leading international trade fair in 2013,” said Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt.
