Cut-Tex PRO, an ultra-high performance cut resistant fabric, developed in 2012 by PPSS Group, the UK based manufacturer of bullet and stab resistant vests, is now available in five additional colours to suit the needs of textile and clothing manufacturers.

The certified Cut-Tex PRO is available with immediate effect and can be ordered in optic white, olive green, navy blue and in a hi-vis look like yellow and orange.

Strong and durable

According to the company’s website, Cut-Tex® PRO is an ultra-high cut resistant fabric, made out of an innovative combination of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and other technical fibres on high-density knitting machines. It is manufactured at a UK based ISO 9001:2008 quality standard controlled manufacturing facility.

The product has passed several European and International Standards for cut, tear and abrasion resistance, according to the manufacturer.

Additional test reports confirm the great level of durability of this fabric, which, the company believes, gives it some technological advantages over other products, such as aramid based technical fabrics.

According to the company, the product is comfortable to wear, machine washable, strong and durable, and the innovative material is being used to line uniforms, tactical gear, and work wear.

Personal safety

“It acts as a shield and protects vulnerable areas of the human body, in particular the radial, brachial, carotid, axillary and femoral arteries. The cutting of any of these arteries could lead to rapid blood loss,” explained Robert Kaiser, CEO of PPSS Group.
