Performance Days, a leading functional fabric trade fair that will take place from 16-17 November in Munich, Germany, will present the next Performance Colors, the colour card specialized on sports and outdoor collections, and will forecast the colours for Autumn/Winter 2018-2019.

This April marked the birth of Performance Colors. With the forecast for Spring/Summer 2018, Performance Days created a new tool together with DyStar/CSI, at a price for EUR 100. Performance Colors promises to bring an exciting change into the sports and outdoor industry. In cooperation with DyStar/CSI, the printed colour swatches are matched with the correct dying recipe to avoid guessing on a trial-and-error basis when talking about colour with the business partners.

Additionally, Performance Colors is the first colour card that provides a fastness guide for polyester, cotton and polyamide 6. Also provided by DyStar/CSI, the fastness guide aims to support both designers and product managers in the decision making process for their collection’s kick off at the beginning of the season and throughout production.

Improving service

To improve the workflow between the exhibitors and visitors of Performance Days, the fair organisation distributes one copy of the colour card for free to each exhibitor, so that the producer and a customer can talk the same colour language and know exactly what the other party wants.

Behind Performance Colors stands a team of international designers with Nora Kühner at the top. The internationally well-known designer and liked project partner of Performance Days creates the forecast with her team, and designs the e-magazine that corresponds to the colour card itself. The e-magazine is sent to all buyers of the colour card via E-Mail a couple of weeks after the fair ends, complementing the printed swatches with the colour moods and inspirational themes.

Nora Kühner presents her colour forecast during Performance Days as one of the free fair presentations. All presentations are available as audio-files for an easy follow-up and are uploaded after the fair as comprehensive version.

Performance Days

Performance Days, the functional fabric fair launched in 2008, is the first event created especially for functional fabrics for sports and work clothing. The aim of the semi-annual trade fair is to give leading and innovative textile manufacturers, suppliers and service providers the opportunity to present their functional fabrics, membranes plus treatments, laminates, paddings, finishes, and accessories such as yarns, tapes, prints, buttons and zippers.

The industry experts attending this fair include the sports fashion designers, product managers, and decision-makers, who represent European active clothing and functional wear manufacturers. At the fair they can find a complete selection of high quality materials available at just the right time in April/May and November, organisers report.

At the Performance Forum of Performance Days, the visitor receives an inspiring and well-grounded overview of the new materials, trends, and innovations of the exhibitors. The Performance Award and the Eco Performance Award are also presented.
