The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation will present the country’s products for the outdoor industry at the upcoming OutDoor 2015, the largest international trade fair for sports and outdoor activities, which will take place in Germany’s Friedrichshafen from 15-18 July.

Since 1994, Germany has been a meeting place for leading producers of equipment, gear and materials for extreme sports and hiking expeditions in different nature and weather conditions. In over 20 years, OutDoor has evolved into a main global platform for business networking for outdoor producers from all over the world.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has initiated a collective stand of the flagships of the Russian outdoor industry titled The Russian Outdoor Village, which will showcase Russian latest developments to an international audience.

Attracting interest

“A trip to Friedrichshafen is an important step for domestic producers seeking to attract interest in its products in the world market and to identify new areas of development,” explained Victor Evtukhov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

“Russia offers some of the most competitive products in the world market. Many of our companies make special-purpose clothing and footwear, gear and equipment that meet the requirements of the latest technologies, modern design, practicality, and, most importantly, security.”

The Russian exhibition at the show is organized in close cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Outdoor Group (ROG), which unites major producers of gear and equipment for sports and outdoor activities.

Russian exhibitors

Russia has over 150 producers of fabrics, accessories and specialist products and gear for tourists, mountaineers and units of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situation and many other professionals, whose work is related to extreme conditions and life threatening situations.

The Russian exhibitors, represented by 14 well-known outdoor companies from Moscow, St Petersburg, Krasnoyarks, Ryazan, Kolomna, Obninsk and Podolsk, such as BTC Group, BASK, RedFox, Kanat, and others, will be participating in the exhibition.

Networking and meetings

The section of the Russian Outdoor Village at the exhibition in Friedrichshafen will be a platform for events aimed at promoting Russian brands and goods among key market players and visitors from all over the world.

The Business Program of OutDoor 2015 includes meetings of the Russian delegation with representatives of the European Outdoor Group, major international manufacturers operating in this sector, European design studios, as well as representatives of global specialized distribution and retail networks.
