Sinterama, European leader in the production of coloured polyester threads and yarns, recently presented its whole product portfolio at Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens that took place in Frankfurt, from 11-13 June.

The company presented products developed together with the Newlife recycled polyester platform, which covers the clothing market with Saluzzo Yarns (formerly Filature Miroglio, now part of the Sinterama group), as well as products specifically designed for the furnishing and automotive sectors.

Focus on Newlife

According to the company, because of its exclusive performance, Newlife had been singled out as a partner by many textile and high tech clothing firms, who chose it for their collections.

Lafuma , brand leader in the outdoor sector, chose Newlife for its Eco Life Parka line. The outdoor range presented by Frantissor at Techtextil was also made with 100% Newlife.

Seating solutions

Sinterama also focused on seating solutions for outdoor and office areas, made with fabrics from the Plastitex Sensitex Line. With 50 years of experience in the design and production of high performance solutions, Plastitex produced tactile, aesthetic fabric appearance.

Entirely Italian, the basic yarn is Soleil 1000 from Sinterama, which is transformed by Lucchesi into a yarn that Plastitex integrates into its standard product thus creating an innovative textile solution which has good mechanical strength to UV, weathering and rubbing and is easy to keep clean and hygienic.

New parasol

On a completely different note, Tinta, a Belgian company, part of Sepia Promotion group and a provider of a wide range of high quality and durable visibility materials, introduced a new parasol made from a fabric woven using Sinterama yarn Soleil 1000 and manufactured by their partner Tradewinds.

This yarn is engineered for outdoor end uses and is said to offer very high level light fastness, as well as a high degree of resistance to the most intensive weathering tests.
