Companies like F.O.V. and Sofileta will be showcasing their latest innovations using EVO by Fulgar, recently launched by Fulgar, an Italy based leader in the man-made fibre production, at the ISPO Munich trade fair for outdoor and sportswear that takes place from 24-27 January in Munich, Germany.

Made of a biopolymer entirely derived from castor beans, EVO by Fulgar is said to be ultra-light, super stretch and extremely breathable, according to the manufacturer. It is also quick-drying, non-iron and is said to offer natural thermal and bacteriostatic properties, ensuring maximum comfort and unmatched performance, while retaining an intense eco-awareness.

Thanks to its distinctive values and benefits, EVO by Fulgar aims to represent a perfect synthesis of performance and environmental sustainability. The high-performance fibre is used as a special hi-tech ingredient of top brands’ new fabrics collections and sportswear proposals, offering innovative and smart solutions, the company reports.

F.O.V.

F.O.V., Sweden producer of woven fabric specialized in high-tech fabrics production, launches its new collection at ISPO 2016. It includes four innovative fabrics realized with 100% biological and high performing EVO by Fulgar.

The four special and smart fabrics were developed by the creative team of F.O.V. internal designers and engineers, who aim to satisfy their customers’ specific needs for fashion and performance.

Recognised for its innovative approach, one of the new F.O.V. fabrics (95501F) has been selected for ISPO Textrend Awards 2016.

SOFILETA

Sofileta, a specialist in the design, development and production of technical textiles, offering a wide range of knitted fabrics, presents three new fabrics at ISPO Munich this year.

The fabrics are realized through the company’s internal sustainable eco-dyeing process and made using the 100% biological fibre EVO by Fulgar. They include ES15/3/25 light jacquard pique for top without spandex g/Sqm 85 g; ES15/3/41 medium weight for top or bottom stretch (2nd skin) g/Sqm 165 g; and ES14/3/21, for pants stretch, g/Sqm 200 g.

The new products are said to be ideal for running, skiwear, bikewear and football and are said to combine unique performance and true respect for nature.

EVO by Fulgar

EVO manufacture is supported by the cultivation of castor oil seeds that grow in arid regions not suited to other forms of agriculture. The biopolymer that forms the basic constituent of EVO by Fulgar is said to have no adverse impact on the human food chain, unlike many other bio-based polymers that use natural products otherwise destined for the food and agriculture, the company reports.

Some of the advantages that the innovative fibre is said to provide include reduced environmental impact, ultra-lightness, super fast drying, thermal insulation, maximum breathability, as well as odour control and bacteriostatic action.
