In 2010 Mrs Wagner joined SSM and became Head of Strategic Sourcing. With Christian Widmer’s transfer to the After Sales Department in March 2014, Claudia Wagner started as ad interim head of this department and has now been appointed as a full member of the Management Team of SSM.

Claudia Wagner

Claudia Wagner holds an MA degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich. She started her experience in the textile machinery industry in 2007 at ITEMA Weaving.

Later she spent one year for ITEMA in Shanghai to develop the supply chain for a new machine, before coming to the SSM team. In 2012 she acquired a Swiss Federal Diploma as Purchasing Manager two years later.

SSM AG

The Schärer, Schweiter and Mettler companies merged in 1989 to become SSM. In 1999, Stähle-Eltex and SSM merged to develop air texturing technology and to strengthen their leadership position in the marketplace.

With HACOBA as its partner, SSM is also able to offer a complete range of sewing thread finishing machines. The company can also offer a complete portfolio for processed yarns.

Since 2012, SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler has taken over the activities of Giudici, Italy. Giudici’s strong market position in the field of false twist texturing of high quality fine count Nylon yarns, an application that complements SSM’s established leadership in air texturing, will further expand SSM’s business in the chemical fibre processing industry, the company believes.
