Kraton Performance Polymers, a leading global producer of styrenic block copolymers and other engineered polymers has announced plans to exhibit at IDEA 2013, in Miami, Florida from 22-25 April at the Miami Beach Conference Center.

Kraton will showcase elastic attachment adhesives designed to adhere elastic threads to polyolefin nonwovens and films. Kraton’s Nexar polymers which are said to offer unique properties to enable moisture activated cooling technology for fabrics and elastic nonwovens, is a fibre technology that provides soft, discreet, breathable panels with biaxial stretch. The specialty polymer solutions are constructed to enhance the performance of everyday products for applications such as personal hygiene, medical, furnishings (home/office) and performance fabrics.

In addition to its full line of cutting-edge polymers, Kraton says it specializes in partnering with customers to formulate solutions that meet the challenging demands of the nonwovens industry.

"We believe customer engagement is critical to our success.  As a long-time leader in the manufacture of styrenic block copolymers (SBC), we believe our innovation gives our customers a true competitive advantage," said Mark Siebert, Vice President of Adhesive, Sealants and Coatings.

Kraton says it continuously strives to support product manufacturers in the textile and fabric industries with innovations that enhance product performance, improve processing capabilities, and optimize cost effectiveness in their operations.

Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc., through its operating subsidiary Kraton Polymers LLC and its subsidiaries, is a leading global producer of engineered polymers and styrenic block copolymers (SBCs), a family of products whose chemistry was pioneered by us almost fifty years ago.

SBCs are highly-engineered thermoplastic elastomers, which enhance the performance of numerous products by delivering a variety of attributes, including greater flexibility, resilience, strength, durability and processability.

Kraton’s  polymers are used in a wide range of applications, including adhesives, coatings, consumer and personal care products, sealants and lubricants, and medical, packaging, automotive, paving, roofing and footwear products. The company offers approximately 800 products to more than 700 customers in over 60 countries worldwide and manufactures products at five plants globally, including its flagship plant in Belpre, Ohio, as well as plants in Germany, France and Brazil, and a joint venture plant operated in Japan.
