Teijin Frontier, the Teijin Group’s fibre products converting company, will participate in Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2015, a leading international sports trade fair to be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT, from 21-24 January.

The company will showcase products that are aiming to meet increasing demands for high-performance sportswear, offering comfort, daily-use wear and a combination of function and fashion.

The exhibit will also feature Teijin Frontier’s pursuit of a more comfortable and prosperous future through environmentally friendly solutions that conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions.

Next-generation fabrics

The company will exhibit high-tenacity polyester that is said to have 1.5 times greater tensile strength than conventional polyester to provide athletes with greater comfort and body support for peak performance.

Another highlight of the showcase is polyester fibre with a highly deformed cross-section for enhanced perspiration absorption, fast drying properties, light weight, heat insulation and bulkiness.

DELTAPEAK next-generation fabric is said to integrate physicality, functionality, and quality to a high degree. In addition to softness, durability and elasticity, it offers ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency, as well as snag resistance due to its dense, flat-knit surface.

Cushioning and clothing applications

Lightweight, durable, cushiony and breathable ELASTY, has been designed to offer excellent substitute material for urethane in a range of cushioning applications, such as bra cups, supporters and pads. It can also be combined with ECOPET recycled polyester fibre as an environmentally friendly insulation material for clothing.

Also to be showcased is SOLOTEX polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, which is highly soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable, according to the manufacturer. The product is partially bio-derived, helping to conserve fossil resources.
