Interfiliere, the world's leading international trade fair for lingerie and beachwear fabrics, which will be held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris, France, from 4 to 6 September.

Teijin will present its environmentally friendly high performance polyester materials under the concept of ‘The Fusion of Ecology & Function.’ The company’s fourth appearance at the exhibition will focus mainly on ELK (ELASTY), a urethane-alternative, high-performance polyester cushioning material, which it says a growing number of companies are using to make bra cups.

The company also aims to expand business in the international innerwear market in parallel with its appearance at Interfiliere.

The Teijin Fibers booth will feature the following key products:

ELK (ELASTY), high-performance polyester cushioning material that Teijin says can be used in place of urethane. It is said to be lightweight, durable, highly rebounding, and highly breathable and does not yellow easily, making it an ideal material for cushioning materials in bra cups. The company says it is also environmentally friendly as it does not generate cyanogen gas when incinerated and it has already been used by international innerwear brands.

Waveron, non-transparent polyester fibre with a cross section of four flat peaks. Teijin claims that Waveron is highly functional, being sweat absorbent, quick drying, ultraviolet-ray blocking, wind and waterproof, as well as having a soft texture and feeling, with shiny elegant drapes.

ECO CIRCLE FIBERS, recycled polyester fibres produced from used polyester products through Teijin’s innovative chemical recycling technology.

Nanofront, high-strength polyester fibre with an unprecedented thickness of just 700 nanometers, 7,500 times thinner than a strand of hair and 200,000 times thinner than conventional polyester fibre. The ultra-fine fibre is also soft and stretchable, and boasts excellent absorbency and opaqueness, making it ideal for innerwear.
