Launching at the 2010 Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Show, Unifi says the new Repreve product offering includes the most comprehensive selection of recycled fully drawn yarn counts in today’s market.

The Repreve family of recycled products available from UTSC now includes:

  • Recycled Filament Polyester
  • Now available in both FDY and DTY
  • Recycled Staple Polyester
  • Recycled Filament Nylon
  • Recycled Performance Fibers
  • Available with flame retardant, moisture wicking, stretch and colour technologies

“UTSC remains committed to providing our customers with a wide variety of sustainable solutions,” said Ed Wickes, president of UTSC.“Because of the wide range of Repreve FDY yarn counts; this new product addition will create opportunities that allow us to penetrate new and emerging market segments for UTSC.”

According to Unifi, the new addition to the Repreve product line can be used for wovens and warp and circular knit production.“With a silky, smooth drape, Repreve FDY is suitable for various types of apparel, and its appearance and performance lends itself to multiple applications including backpacks, casual and outdoor apparel,” the company says.

The Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Show will be held October 19 – 22, 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China.
