Automobili Lamborghini and X-BIONIC, the Swiss innovation leader in high-performance sportswear, are joining forces in their first innovative brand experience: High-performance Wear from X-BIONIC for Automobili Lamborghini, developed and produced by X-BIONIC.

The new collection represents the première of the world's first high-end functional clothing inspired by automotive engineering design and technology, the companies report. Starting late summer, the cooperative work will be on display in selected flagship stores of both brands, as well as at prestigious race events. The worldwide roll-out is scheduled for 2015, introducing the collection at Lamborghini dealers and in specialist sports shops.

X-Technology innovation hub

The X-BIONIC brand works with the Swiss innovation hub X-Technology Research & Development AG, Switzerland, headed up by the visionary bionics expert Prof. Dr. Bodo W. Lambertz.

“X-BIONIC for Automobili Lamborghini brings together the best of our latest developments. Each item is packed with technology, a sophisticated and complex construction, sprinkled with patents, and as elaborately constructed as a Lamborghini for the racing circuit,” he explained.

New performance dimensions

For months, the X-BIONIC development team – engineers, material developers, designers and aerodynamics experts – have been working on the prototypes. Each item will be produced with the utmost precision and tested in the laboratory before being supplied to the customers and Lamborghini drivers.

Perfect aerodynamics, adaptive stabilisers, lightweight construction and flow-optimised surfaces is actually the foundation of each X-BIONIC for Automobili Lamborghini design.

The two companies believe that thanks to top-level engineering expertise and cooling functions, the product turns the human body into a high-performance machine.

Promising future

According to the manufacturers, like the Lamborghini range, the initial X-BIONIC for Automobili Lamborghini selection is small but beautiful.

The première comprises a range of products for cycling, golf and running, including a separate Super Trofeo line created for Lamborghini teams competing in the eponymous race series.

Additional technically demanding styles are planned for the future expansion of the collection, including a collection to mark the launch of the new Lamborghini Huracán.
