The May 2016 edition of Kingpins Show Amsterdam was the ideal stage for celebrating the new ITV Denim collection and its commitment to innovation, the company reports. Following its Global Denim Award 2014 victory, the fruitful collaboration with the young Dutch designer Jonathan Christopher is also going forward.

Design collaborations

Inspired by the urban poetry, for the Global Denim Award Jonathan Christopher created functional looks dedicated to a gipsy-metropolitan man, both original and contemporary. On the other hand, for the Woolmark Prize he drew inspiration from a man who expresses his love of the sea always having the world of denim as a reference.

During the show ITV unveiled another great collaboration, with the Dutch designer Alexandra Frida, a partnership that started with the Global Denim Award 2015. The collection draws inspiration from the wish to express a vivacious woman born with wings, a dreamer. This concept is interpreted in the prints used to create the patterns on the fabrics, taken from the image of moth wings magnified under the lens of a microscope.

ITV Workin’ Hero and ITV Endure Indigo

The FW 17/18 collection introduces two new products: ITV Workin’ Hero and ITV Endure Indigo. Inspired by the true origins of the world’s most iconic fabric, ITV Workin’ Hero is named after a very precise identity. The collection draws on the concept of miners’ work clothes and ranges from sulphur dyes, used to get a saturated and resolute colour, to the shaded and vintage effects.

ITV Endure Indigo, on the other hand, is the product family designed to fit the most extreme performances, including outdoor activities.

ITV Memories

“The research carried out by ITV Denim accompanies us as we rediscover the marvellous history of jeans, presenting a range of concepts dedicated to ITV Denim’s heritage and tradition, as well as comfort product lines, characterized by a perfect fit,” the company explains. The collection is entirely produced using combed yarns to achieve a fresh and light final result.

“Naturally, the stretch fabrics cannot be left out of this family,” the company adds. “They offer the perfect stretch to meet the need for comfort and convenience without, however, giving up the distinctive character of the genuine denim look.”

ITV Flexyblu

The interpretation of stretch in its most extreme and evolved meaning finds its place in the ITV Flexyblu family, designed with a special attention paid to the technical features, the company reports. With the product called Moltostretch, ITV Denim is setting out to radicalize the concept of flexibility by developing fabrics having not only great stretch, but also a very low degree of shrinkage.

Another product designed to ensure comfort and improve fit is Feed back, which is designed to follow the body’s movements and memorize the shapes of whoever is wearing it, thus minimizing the classic bagging effect of the fabric. Then there are the fabrics of the La Poliviscosa range. Here denim is enhanced by a silky allure owing to the addition of viscose in the weft.

ITV Supersoft

The ITV Supersoft fabrics emerge from the need to combine the technical characteristics of stretch with absolutely brand-new looks. To do this, ITV Denim has applied its expertise in the field of stretch technologies to search for soft and silky textures that would not lose the support typical of traditional denim even in the finishing stage.

The cashmere hand, a unique quality, is achieved by meticulously choosing the raw materials and by applying a new spinning technique: the fine cottons are spun with exclusive twisting and mixing to create a combed fabric with an elegant appearance.

ITV Blusoul

Fashion is rediscovering its practical side with ITV Blusoul, the product family that consists of fabrics with numerous essences, suitable for various occasions, including at the gym or in the office, or outdoors during your leisure time.

ITV Luxuryblends, ITV Sartoria and ITV Cimosa

An assortment of weights and textures, silky hands and refined blends: with this family ITV Denim is reinterpreting its fabrics in a luxury vein. Cotton is enriched by a surprising embrace with exclusive yarns, such as silk and wool, to get an elegant and rich look.

With ITV Sartoria, ITV Denim continues down the path of elegance by presenting fabrics inspired by Italian haute couture and the craftsmanship typical of Japanese experience. ITV Cimosa is the family dedicated to those jeans with a strong personality, a distinctive look and textures fit for true denim lovers.

ITV Offwhite

This line is a colour platform that carries denim beyond indigo with a palette of nuances ranging from white to black, passing through the ecru shades that are the big new innovation of the selection.
