Nilit has announced it will be introducing its Nilit Breeze cooling yarn to Asian markets at the forthcoming Intertextile Shanghai 2012 tradeshow. Nilit Breeze, the Israeli company’s most recent innovation, is said to be a revolutionary nylon 6.6 fibre that has been proven to cool wearers by almost one degree Celsius in comparison to fabrics knitted with standard fibres.
Intertextile Shanghai is a leading international trade fair for apparel fabrics and accessories, which is held annually in China. This year the show will take place from 22nd-25th October in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Solutions for sportswear, hosiery and shapewear
Although Nilit will be showing a range of innovative yarns, the focal point of its exhibit at this year’s Intertextile Shanghai show will be Nilit Breeze. A specialty performance yarn, Nilit Breeze is said to be ideal for sportswear, hosiery, underwear, shapewear, socks, outerwear and workwear.
The yarn’s cooling effect comes from a special cross-section, the insertion of an inorganic additive in the polymer itself and a unique texturing process.
“This combination gives fabrics very efficient ventilation capabilities and UV protective properties for the life of the garment. As a result, garments made with Nilit Breeze keep the wearer more comfortable during and after physical exertion. Visitors to Nilit’s booth at Intertextile Shanghai will have the opportunity to feel first hand the difference this amazing fibre can make in how comfortable sportswear and under garments can be,” Nilit said in a press communication.
“People come to Intertextile Shanghai expecting to see cutting edge innovations that can enhance their products, and they will see plenty of that at the Nilit booth, said Michal Ron Gavish, Global Marketing Manager at Nilit.
“This year, especially, we are looking forward to letting show visitors experience for themselves the enhanced comfort that Nilit Breeze offers.”
Nilit says it specializes in developing yarns with exceptional performance properties. In addition to its new Nilit Breeze yarn, the company will be exhibiting its full range of yarns, which includes:
- Nilit Aquarius – A high-performance yarn with moisture management properties
- Nilit Bodyfresh – An anti-bacterial yarn which inhibits growth of odour causing bacteria
- Nilit Softex – A full dull microfiber yarn that aims to deliver supreme softness and rich coloration
- Nilit Ecocare – A recycled yarn said to have excellent colour depth and dye uniformity
- Nilit Innergy - A yarn with built-in, naturally occurring mineral additive that creates far infrared ray (FIR) emissions
Nilit produces nylon 6.6 and microfiber yarns in a broad selection of dtex and filament counts, lustre levels, and types of cross-sections. Its high-quality yarns are used for knitwear, woven wear and spandex covering applications for the production of fashionable and functional leg wear, body wear, intimate apparel and active wear. Nilit is a privately owned company with headquarters in Israel. It works closely with its international customer base from offices in Italy, the United States, Germany, France, Latin America, Asia and China.
