Scott, the Swiss cycling clothing specialist, has won one of the coveted 2014 Eurobike awards with a cycling outfit made from a Schoeller fabric.

The ITD ProTec technology was developed in close collaboration between Schoeller and Scott. The technology and the knitted fabric impressed the international jury of experts in the clothing category at the Eurobike trade fair in Friedrichshafen.

High level of abrasion resistance

The ITD ProTec technology is a highly elastic knitted fabric by eschler, a schoeller brand with a unique ceramic coating.

Fine ceramic particles in combination with the hexagon-shaped design are said to make the high-tech fabric exceptionally resistant to abrasion. The knitted carbon yarn, inspired by sailing rope, has outstanding anti-static properties, the manufacturer reports.

Durability and ruggedness

Various test results by Scott have demonstrated that the ceramic prints also ensure durability and ruggedness even in the event of high-speed falls.

The Scott RC ProTec line is one of the first cycling clothing lines with this innovative technology. The product will be available in retail stores in 2015.
