Fluorescent colours are the latest fashion trend to have conquered the sportswear world, according to Sixs, the leading manufacturer of original carbon underwear and activewear for a variety of sports.

The company’s new Sixs Color range is a complete underwear line for men and women designed for all those who love outdoor sports and like to choose fashionable sportswear with a high technical content.

The new line is on sale in leading sports stores and features fluo colours, the perfect expression of vitality and energy, according to the company. It also features Dryarn, a high-performance fibre, as its fundamental component.

Breathability and lightness are the two most important features for any sportswear line designed for indoor and outdoor sports such as cycling, volley ball, basketball, football, athletics, tennis and motor cycling. In these sports the athlete perspires profusely and is often subject to sudden changes of temperature. Two factors which make keeping the skin dry very important.

According to the producer, Dryarn is one of the lightest fibres available. Thanks to its low specific weight, Dryarn makes it possible to produce very light garments, much lighter than equivalent garments made with other fibres.

Breathability

Dryarn transfers perspiration through the structure of the fabric keeping the skin dry at all times and maintaining a feeling of well-being during variations in climate, according to the manufacturer.

The fibre does not absorb the moisture produced by the body during physical activity. Rather, it collects that moisture from the skin, transports it along the surface of the fibre and then discharges it to the outside of the garment. This efficient exchange between the skin, the fabric and the outside environment is said to guarantee the maximum comfort for the garment wearer.

Dryarn is also said to ensure extraordinary performance during both light and intense physical activity, by managing the flow of heat and perspiration vapour to maintain the body’s thermo-regulatory system balanced and the skin dry.
