Techtextil Russia gains prominence

The Russian technical textiles industry is now experiencing strong development, which is reflected by a significant increase of projects financing.

Techtextil Russia, an international trade fair for technical textiles, nonwovens and protective clothing, which will take place from 20-23 March 2018 in Moscow, is expected to become one of the year’s biggest highlights in Russia and Eastern Europe, organisers report. The Russian technical textiles industry is now experiencing strong development, which is reflected by a significant increase of projects financing and support of large-scale investors, both foreign and domestic.

Technical textiles and equipment for its production remain the major factor in the development of the Russian textiles industry. Last year has been marked by some crucial positive impacts on the Russian market, i.e. textiles industry was getting governmental support, at both regional and federal levels, innovative materials were developed and improved, a number of new plants were launched.

According to Rosstat, the production of synthetic yarns in 2017 grew by 12.4%, fabrics by 11.1%, of which 25.9% are synthetic fibres and threads, 3.5% are nonwoven fabrics. In addition, the output of fabrics with PVC coating increased by 19.6%. “All these factors once again confirm the necessity and significance of holding such event as Techtextil Russia on an annual basis,” organisers explain.

Fringe programme

In 2018, four top events will be once again co-located at the Expocentre fairgrounds within the Russian Textile Week, which takes place from 20-23 March. These include Techtextil Russia, Inlegmash, an international exhibition for textile manufacturing and processing, Interfabric, an international exhibition of fabric and textile materials, and an international forum Legpromforum-2018.

The fifth edition of Legpromforum-2018 will among others host a symposium on technical textiles. Techtextil Russia is also developing a specialised fringe programme, which will address key market challenges and prospects, as well as industry trends and updates for the development of technical textiles and nonwovens in various applications.

International recognition

The last edition of Techtextil Russia in 2017 successfully demonstrated the high status of the exhibition and its international recognition, according to organisers. It welcomed 5,584 professional visitors from 28 countries, 48% of them were new unique visitors.

In 2018, the exposition will include national pavilions of Germany, China, Italy and a united European pavilion. Pavilion participants will demonstrate their best products and up-to-date services. The National Pavilion of Italy supported by ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) will be for the first time organised at Techtextil Russia, uniting a wide range of Italian producers.

Event for professional audience

Techtextil Russia is a specialised event for professional audience, and the forthcoming exhibition is expected to open new prospects for your business development. The most prominent technical textile innovations will be demonstrated by such foreign market leaders as Birla Cellulose (India), B.J. Geo-Textile (Bangladesh), Dakota Coatings (Belgium), Fiab (Italy), JR Corporation (South Korea), Tespra (Italy) and others.

A significant exhibition part is devoted to the local textiles industry. Visitors will have the chance to meet the leading Russian companies, such as Aleko-Polymery, Coats, Gazprom Khimvolokno, Ivanovoiskozh, YKK, Yuman, Z-tex, and others.
