The acquisition unites two of Canada’s largest suppliers of direct purchase programmes for customised employee workwear. The businesses will operate under UniFirst Canada and will continue to maintain all of their current facilities.

Consistent and steady growth

Headquartered in Oakville, ON, UniFirst Canada is a wholly owned entity of UniFirst Corporation of Wilmington, MA, and has over 20 branch and satellite offices across Canada. UniFirst has been supplying uniforms in Canada for more than 30 years, beginning as Unitog Canada, which was purchased by UniFirst Corporation in 1986. The McGuire acquisition will nearly double its current direct-purchase programme, the company reports.

“We’re excited about the addition of McGuire to our team and welcome the opportunity to provide the quality products and service their customers have come to expect,” said Tim Sullivan, General Manager at UniFirst Canada.

“McGuire Uniforms has been in business for over 20 years and has leveraged superior relationships and customer service to achieve consistent and steady growth during that time. UniFirst’s like-minded dedication to the customers we serve makes McGuire the perfect partner.”
