The 6th International Conference on the Future Technical Textile (FTT 2014) hosted by Istanbul, Turkey and supported by Textile Institute, The University of Bolton and Marmara University will be held from 15-17 October 2014.

The Conference will offer academics and industrial personnel with a forum to present and discuss recent and emerging technologies in future and advanced technical textiles.   

Previous Conferences were held in other parts of Europe, as well as America, which consisted of plenary forums from a panel of leading experts within the remit of Future and advanced functional technical textile.

Several parallel sessions on advanced research to industrial development and numerous presentations by scientist and engineers are confirmed.

Among the topics covered at the event will be medical textiles, technical textiles; smart and interactive textiles; surface coatings; advances in apparel design; ecological textiles; composites materials; protective clothing; biologically inspired textiles, and computer technology for textiles and apparel.
