Glen Raven, Inc. has been recognized as the North Carolina Manufacturer of the Year in the large companies category —defined as companies with more than $250 million in annual revenue. The NC Manufacturer of the Year award program is organised by the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, with sponsorship by McGladrey LLP and Fifth Third Bank.
Judges selected Glen Raven for the honour based on objective criteria including business growth, job creation and innovation. Glen Raven operates four manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, and has more than 750 employees in the state.

A privately held company founded in 1880, Glen Raven has business operations throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and sells products in more than 120 countries. Products include fabric-based solutions for automotive, military, construction, mining, protective work apparel and water filtration markets, as well as fabrics for awning, marine and furniture applications.
Headquartered in Glen Raven, North Carolina, the company has grown from a small cotton mill into a global leader in performance fabrics. Founded by John Q. Gant, Glen Raven is still owned and managed by his descendants.
