GOCarbonFibre 2014 annual conference will provide a fresh new approach to this year's programme with more than 25 speakers expected to present during the three sessions scheduled for the event.

The conference will also include bonus features for those who attend the event that is to take place from 8-10 October in Hilton Cologne, Germany. The conference expert Chairmen and speakers will help visitors navigate the supply chain, overcome bottlenecks, and take advantage of the commercial opportunities offered by carbon fibre technology.

The GOCarbonFibre advisory board has been working to recruit speakers from across the carbon fibre supply chain, and the following key industry experts that will be presenting at the conference in October have been confirmed:  Dr Gabriele Korus, Senior Manager Carbon Fibre, SGL Carbon; Jens Hinrichsen, President, Aerospace Advisory Group; and Jan Verdenhalven, Managing Director, CarbConsult.

The exclusive conference programme will be divided into three sessions:  Industry Outlook – Supply And Demand, Applications of Today and Tomorrow, and Planes, Trains and Automobiles – Applications of High-Performance Carbon Fibre.

During these sessions the following topics will be addressed:

  • State of the industry – analysis of the health of the carbon fibre sector
  • Are we on track to become the steel of the 21st century?
  • Follow the money- analysis of investment climate for carbon fibre
  • Building/construction applications for carbon fibre
  • Aircraft certification and impact in materials choice
