2014 Visionary Award nominees announced

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has announced five new consumer products that have been selected as finalists for the 2014 Visionary Award. The Award will be presented during the annual VISION Consumer Products Conference that will be taking place from 27-30 January 2014 at the Westin Galleria, Dallas, TX. “The Visionary Award recognises new consumer products that expand the use of nonwovens and demonstrate uniqueness, novelty and technical sophistication,” said Dave Rousse, INDA President. “The many nominees for 2014 encompass these qualities and we are pleased to have such a wide variety of consumer products from which we chose these finalists.”

Aireware Corp.

Airewave is one of five finalists who will present its Air Allergy Advanced Nasal Filter at the conference. It is a discreet personal filter that is said to help protect you from irritating airborne allergens.

Air Allergy fits just inside the nose and uses filtration media from 3M to help stop allergens before they enter your system. It is also lightly infused with a blend of premium essential oils that is shown to help reduce the symptoms associated with allergies.

 Beantown Bedding, LLC

The company will present its compostable bed sheets that can be used for weeks and discarded guilt-free instead of laundering. Hypoallergenic, USDA certified 100% bio-based, Laundry-free Linens are said to save water, energy and time. According to the manufacturer, they are ideal for camp, college, vacation homes, travel and healthcare.

Butterfly Health, Inc.

Butterfly Health has produced Butterfly Body Liners that are a new kind of personal hygiene product designed to provide secure protection from light to moderate accidental bowel leakage (ABL).

Butterfly Liners fit comfortably and discreetly and are a good solution for those with ABL, the company reports.

Pacon Manufacturing Corp.

Pacon Manufacturing will present its MINWAX Wood Finishing Cloths, pre-moistened with water-based wood stain and a protective clear finish in a variety of rich wood tones.

The new cloths package contains all you need to stain and protect unfinished wood, including a pair of gloves to wear during the application. The stain dries in one hour and you use soap and water to clean up.

LBP Manufacturing, Inc.

The UpShot Solution Filter, produced by LBP Manufacturing is made entirely from 100% polypropylene making it recyclable with other #5 plastics.

LBP’s nonwoven technology allows for the optimal coffee to water ratio, more surface area plus more coffee means more full bodied flavor.
