Freudenberg Nonwovens is investing Euro 5 million in the expansion of production capacity for the manufacture of Evolon microfilament products in Colmar, north east France. Work on the new line, which will raise capacity to 3,000 tonnes per year has already begun and will be completed by the end of October 2013.

This video was made by Robert Newton a TV documentary producer whose family were in textiles in North Carolina for generations. Newton got the idea for the documentary after he found himself constantly correcting people who said that the textiles industry in NC state was dead. It’s a full blown TV documentary which lasts 30 minutes but its well worth watching.
The prestigious IDEA13 Achievement Awards were presented during a special ceremony at IDEA 2013 Conference & Expo at Miami Beach, Florida earlier this week and INDA the organizer of the event, together with Nonwovens Industry Magazine presented the famed Entrepreneur Award to Suominen Nonwovens.
Oerlikon Saurer’s new Allma TC2 two-for-one twister for industrial yarns was exhibited at an Open House at Oerlikon’s Suzhou works yesterday were guests from China, India and other Asian countries were said to be very impressed by the machine’s range of new technical features. After the introduction and a tour of the premises, the Allma TC2 was presented in the Suzhou showroom to a large number of enthusiastic guests.
