First BCF systems success for Trützschler

According to Trützschler, the company’s recent entry into the business of spinning systems for filament yarns for the carpet industry has already been successful after its recent takeover of SwissTex. One Chinese long-time customer of SwissTex, is said to have had the confidence to place an initial order for a carpet yarn spinning system and in the second half of 2013, the first BCF positions in the proven symTTex technology will be delivered to China under the new name of Trützschler.

Last year, the know-how and personnel of SwissTex Winterthur AG was acquired by the Trützschler Man-Made Fibers group with the development, construction and marketing of spinning components and plants for the production of carpet and industrial yarns remaining in Winterthur, under the name of Trützschler Switzerland AG.

In addition to selling and installing new plants, Trützschler Switzerland AG says it attaches great importance to maintenance and further development of the installed BCF and industrial yarn capacities.

The company says that in recent weeks, the supply of customers throughout the world with spare parts, modernisation concepts and technical support has been ensured to the absolute satisfaction of the markets, and continues to be paramount.

When it took over SwissTex Winterthur in October 2012 the Trützschler Group expanded its manmade fibres product range and said at the time:

“As competence centre, the newly founded Trützschler Switzerland AG in Winterthur combines decades of experience in development, design and construction of spinning systems for BCF yarns as well as technical yarns for industrial applications.”

“Thus it becomes the point of contact in all aspects concerning these processes, from spare parts for several hundred installed spinning positions, upgrades, all the way to customer-specific systems. Based on technologies that have proven themselves time and again, the company will continue to set global standards in filament production with specific new and further developments.”

Trützschler Switzerland AG, under new local management, is part of Trützschler Man-Made Fibers. Trützschler Man-Made Fibers also owns the Fleissner brand, the world market leader for PET fibre processing lines and specialised supplier of carbon fibre lines.

“With its exceptional service culture, strategy of quality and technology leadership, as well as professional process management, Trützschler Man-Made Fibers will advance and further develop the business established by SwissTex. The cooperation with customers and suppliers will not only be ensured but also consistently improved and expanded,” Trützschler said.

The Trützschler Group, founded in 1888, has approximately 2700 employees worldwide and is still family-owned.  With nine production sites in Germany, USA, Brazil, India, China, and Switzerland, Trützschler is a market leader in the product areas of spinning, nonwovens, man-made fibres and card clothing.

The company has additional service centres in Turkey, Uzbekistan, Mexico, Italy and Spain.
