PyroTex is a young, innovative and independent company, specialising in specialty fibres. The company has been recognised for its engineered Acrylic fibre marketed under the name of PyroTex.

The company has five business units, which represent the basic areas of applications and operate worldwide. The company aims to provide outstanding products for better personal protection and a cleaner environment through direct communication with its partners and joint development projects.

iF design award

Every year, companies subject their products and services to the rigorous testing of the jury. Since its introduction in 1953, the iF design award has established itself in the top tier of the most important national and international competitions, representing a perfect combination of design and commerce.

The iF design award provides participants with opportunities to achieve worldwide success with their works in the categories of Product, Packaging, Communication, Interior Architecture and Professional Concept.

PyroTex specialty fibre

PyroTex is an engineered Acrylic fibre that is said to surpass currently accepted standards, according to the manufacturer. Because of its inherent properties it is not comparable to any of the other FR fibres on the market, the company believes.

The fibre is flame (LOI is 43%), acid and alkaline resistant, UV resistant, heat resistant (up to 250°C), and is also resistant against solvents, hydrolysis and oxidizing agents. PyroTex also neither melts nor drips, doesn’t produce toxic fumes, and is dyeable (also available in dope dyed).

The product meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I, and addresses a wide range of application areas, including protective apparel (all layers), filtration, public transportation (airplane, bus, train), buildings (contract textiles/sun protection), and technical/industrial applications (covers, inlay).
