Reyes Groupe, a specialist in electromechanical equipment for energy markets, has sold its Verdol parts and service business to Saurer, a leading textile industry group. The company has concluded the selling deal to the Saurer Business Unit Allma Volkmann, the leader in twisting and cabling technology.

Saurer believes this deal is a win-win solution for the two companies. For Allma Volkmann it is the opportunity to further improve the leadership position in textile market, whilst Reyes Groupe can focus on its core business in the energy market and to expand into new national and international markets while consolidating its existing positions.

The deal will make Allma Volkmann the largest provider of original parts and service in the whole twisting segment, according to the manufacturer.

Growth impulse

Christophe Reyes, owner of the Reyes Groupe, trusts Allma Volkmann to run the company’s parts and service business and is expecting this to give an additional growth impulse. The former Verdol customers will be served by Allma Volkmann as of immediate effect, and preparations have been taken to ensure a smooth transition.

“We always put customers first,” said Wolfgang Leupers, CEO of Allma Volkmann. “So this means that we are obliged to be prepared from day one.”

Allma Volkmann is also taking over the Verdol customer sales and service team in France to ensure that the persons in charge will remain the same. At the same time the existing Allma Volkmann network for logistics in Europe and the worldwide parts warehouses in all key markets will be utilized.
