EnGuardVita Nonwovens, a leading manufacturer of thermal bonded polyester technologies has launched EnGuard Blanket Insulation, which is said to be an environmentally friendly material which provides long lasting superior thermal and acoustic insulating properties.

According to Vita, EnGuard's low impact manufacturing process implements recycled plastic, PET bottle flake, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional insulations. The company says that unlike other comparable materials, the process eliminates the need to add harmful chemicals resulting in a product that is free of formaldehydes, Borates, VOCs, and glass fibre irritants.

With 80 locations in 24 countries Vita is a leading supplier to the automotive, bedding, healthcare/hygiene and construction industries worldwide. Vita says that each of its nonwovens facilities encompasses innovation through engineering and implementation of some of the most technical and state-of-the-art production processes in the industry.

"We are very excited to bring our years of nonwoven experience and technologies into the U.S. building materials market," said Jason Johnson, Director of U.S. Operations. "EnGuard offers a sustainable energy efficient option to consumers seeking a safer more comfortable home."

The product will officially launch at the upcoming Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 17-19, in Chicago. "Launching our product at Greenbuild presents the unique opportunity to interact with other green building professionals sharing the same core values and commitment to environmental responsibility," said Kevin Womble, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Headquartered and produced in High Point, North Carolina, the product will also be manufactured in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Schertz, Texas.
