Heimtextil will be presenting textile furnishing concepts for the contract sector in Frankfurt am Main, from 14-17 January 2015.

“Many of the more than 2,700 international exhibitors have product ranges available specifically for the contract business. This means that Heimtextil is now well established as a crucial global forum for the hotel and architecture sectors,” said Olaf Schmidt, Vice President, Textiles & Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt.

Heimtextil offers a comprehensive events programme, including a series of lectures, guided tours, special shows, and competitions. A Contract Guide also offers in-depth information on current market developments.

Contract Guide

More than 300 exhibitors offer products and more general interior design solutions for contract furnishings at Heimtextil.

They are all listed in the Contract Guide – an index of exhibitors which is available, free of charge, at the exhibition centre. Listed companies can be easily found thanks to the Contract Creations label on the exhibitors' stands.

Theme Park

The Theme Park brings a new inspirational forum at the very centre of the forthcoming Heimtextil. It creates space for extensive staging of future themes relevant to the sector and focuses attention on design-oriented, up-to-the-minute issues.

The whole topic of hospitality will be under the spotlight in the new Theme Park. Here, flagship projects from the hotel industry and the world of architecture will be presented.

Lecture programme

Heimtextil, in cooperation with the trade journals AIT and xia, also offers a series of lectures for architects and interior architects. With the title Radical Living, the programme brings together eight individualistic positions that constitute a contemporary approach to architecture.

Well-known architects from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Tokyo and Vienna will focus on trend-setting projects. On the agenda will be talks given by experts together with panel discussions in both German and English.

Guided tours

In cooperation with the trade journal HotelDesign/AHGZ, Heimtextil is inviting decision makers from the hotel industry on a tour of the trade fair.

Accompanied by Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk from the Hamburg architectural practice, JOI Design, and Henning Weiss from 25hours hotels, participants will be able to gain an overview of furnishing trends in the hotel and contract business.

In another guided tour of the trade fair, editors from the trade journal AIT will present the most interesting product innovations for the contract sector from an architect's point of view.

Hotel Europe

Budding designers and interior architects will be providing inspiration in the young talents area, called Campus. Graduates and students from 15 European universities will be presenting some visionary furnishing concepts.

In addition, the design schools are inviting interested trade visitors to workshops on the subject of Hotel Europe. The project is a joint venture between Heimtextil and Best of Design, powered by rooms for free e.V.

Architektur+ Textil Objekt awards

The architecture journals, AIT and xia, in cooperation with Heimtextil, sponsor the Architektur+ Textil Objekt Innovation Award.

It underlines the importance of the architectural quality of textile products and whole room solutions. The competition is aimed at architects, interior architects and designers, as well as industrial enterprises and companies that process textile products, contract textiles and whole-room solutions.
