While it is easy to get carried away with the hype of wider-format work, other established areas, such as narrow-format print, should also be highlighted for their own growth, organisers believe. Although printers in the narrow-format have not seen as much expansion as their wide-format cousins, there is still plenty of work about to help drive growth.

This trend will be highlighted at FESPA 2015 this year, where manufacturers will showcase to visitors how their latest technology and solutions can help those in the narrow-format access new work and achieve further growth.

OKI Systems

Amongst the narrow-format specialists due to attend FESPA 2015 is OKI Systems. The company stocks various narrow-format print solutions and will use the event this year to demonstrate to visitors how such technology can help them take advantage of work in the sector.

Xerox and Canon

Another company that will have a presence at FESPA 2015 is Xerox, one of the most recognisable brands in the printing world. The company will showcase a range of its technology, including a number of options for the narrow-format print sector.

Products on offer include the Xerox Nuvera 200/288/314 Perfecting Production System, suitable for jobs such as books and manuals, as well as promotional transactional print. In addition, the Xerox Color J75 Press can output various high value applications, while the Xerox iGen4 Diamond Edition can produce jobs such as direct mail and photos.

Other major manufacturers within in the narrow-format print sector that will also be in attendance at FESPA 2015 include Canon, with its range of narrow-format kit on offer. Visitors will also be able to quiz experts at the firm about the benefits of expanding into this sector.

Opportunities for narrow-format print sector

Those in attendance at the show will also have access to the FESPA 2015 seminar programme, which features various sessions that may be of interest to those in the narrow-format market.

Paul Jenkins of The pac hub will outline the various opportunities available in the print packaging sector during a session in the Digital Hub. His session, entitled Digital Print for Packaging – a great opportunity, will take place on 21 May. Various other sessions related to the narrow-format print sector are also set to take place at FESPA 2015.
