Muller Premium Guards, a specialist in accessories for equestrian sports, will be  introducing a range of innovative functional textiles for horses with energear finish from Schoeller Technologies this summer. Meanwhile, energear for clothing and medical textiles will be on show at Techtextil in Frankfurt next week.

Energear

The energear textile finish from Schoeller reflects the body’s own vital energy, which is radiated in the form of far infrared rays (FIR) and returns it to the body.

This additional energy can have a positive effect on the performance capacity and wellbeing. Energear is already being used in clothing and medical textiles and now, the technology based on a specially-developed titan-mineral matrix, is also being applied in functional textiles for horses from Muller Premium Guards.

Increased performance and wellbeing

Muller’s  new EnergyGuard collection with energear technology will include saddle and bandage pads, blankets and riding jackets. The material that is used for the blankets and jackets is a hard-wearing, water repelling soft shell from Schoeller, which offers insulation and a high level of wind protection.

According to Schoeller, the use of energear can positively affect horse’s performance capacity, balance and regeneration as well as wellbeing. Through the use of the textile finish, which is applied to the fabrics with the aid of a special printing process, the FIR can be reflected back to the horse’s body.

Petra Zoher, a professional riding instructor from Austria commented: “Despite appropriate training, my horse tends to suffer from back tension. The extent to which the muscle tension has been relieved since we started regularly using EnergyGuard is really remarkable.”

The blankets are also dirt repelling and easy-care. Muller EnergyGuard featuring energear technology will be launched this summer and will be available at Muller Premium Guards and in selected stores only.
