To extend its product reach to the growing population of outdoor enthusiasts, PROJECT clothing will be at Outdoor Retailer for the first time, sharing booth space with its partner, Celliant. The company will debut its new line of three technical ski/snowboard jackets with accompanying pants at the exhibition, which include the Arctic, the Downhill and the Powder.

“We’ve been working tirelessly to develop a new line of high”performance technical outerwear, taking our knowledge and experience from our athletic apparel to the outdoor and snow sports enthusiasts,” said Graeme Clarke, PROJECT clothing President and CEO. “With our passion for the outdoors, our attention to detail and our partnership with Celliant, the logical next step for us is the outdoors and snow sports where our technology can unquestionably raise the level of both comfort and performance for our users.”

Powder

The Powder ski jacket consists of a waterproof 15,000 membrane outer shell with a Celliant sports mesh liner and a host of key details.

The impermeable outer layer with the Celliant fabric liner, clinically proven to absorb and recycle the skier’s body heat to increase blood flow and performance, is said to ensure all day comfort and dynamic function.

Lightweight and nimble, the Powder jacket will be available in a variety of colours, and the matching pants in two colours. PROJECT can also customize colours to suit the specific needs of dealers and distributors.

Downhill

Designed for the hardcore, dedicated skier, PROJECT’s new Downhill has the added advantage of a 100 gsm Celliant polyester lining, which is clinically proven to recycle the heat generated on each run to ensure maximum warmth and comfort during the ride to the top, the company reports.

The Downhill, with its accompanying feature – laden pants – caters to the broad range of skiers and boarders, from the seriously social skier to the most extreme downhiller. The Downhill will also be available in a choice of colours, and the matching pants in two colours.

Arctic

PROJECT’s smart Arctic jacket is designed for those who are heading into extreme sub-zero winter environments. Featuring a 30,000 membrane storm-sealed impermeable outer layer, coupled with Celliant-infused premium goose down insulation, this lightweight high performance jacket is the ultimate for most adventuresome skiers and boarders.

Like the Downhill and Powder, the Arctic jacket will be available in several colours, and the matching pants in two colours.

Celliant technology

Celliant’s patented technology harnesses and recycles the body’s natural energy through a range of yarns and fabrics. Celliant utilises a blend of thirteen minerals and proprietary ingredients that are embedded into the core of the fibres for performance yarns.

According to Celliant, energy in the form of heat produced by the wearer is transferred into infrared light (IR), which is then absorbed by the tissues and muscles. The company claims that when worn near the body during activity the Celliant yarns cause oxygen levels to increase, leading to better muscle recovery, heightened strength, body temperature regulation, and improved quality of sleep.
