Greater use of renewable energy

Fossil fuel independence is an aspirational goal for Rockline Industries. The company has pledged to use energy more efficiently and to move towards greater use of renewable energy sources. The transition from a conventional HVAC system to a geothermal system is expected to help Rockline reduce company-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 25%.

This will significantly exceed the company’s five year goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by the end of fiscal year 2015.

Nick Santoleri, Rockline Vice President of Operations, Global Wet Wipes, commented: “Rockline’s commitment to sustainability comes from our desire to exceed the expectations of our customers, and it’s the right thing to do. A sustainable and responsible manufacturing process leads to better value and ensures a better, cleaner world in which we all can live.”

Aggressive sustainability programme

Rockline Industries, a leader in environmental sustainability initiatives in the manufacturing and nonwoven industries, has an aggressive sustainability programme.

It started in 2008, and established specific quantitative sustainability goals in the areas of energy, greenhouse gas emissions, solid waste, wastewater, landfill, and emissions from outbound logistics.

As part of that pledge, Rockline is also adopting alternative renewable energy sources. A full report of Rockline’s environmental sustainability efforts can be viewed and downloaded from the company’s website.
