Ying Yang - remember the name - meet the team at ITMA 2011
22nd September 2011, Barcelona
Chinese nonwovens lines producer Ying Yang says it is now without doubt the largest manufacturer of nonwovens machinery in the world.
If you don't know this company already, this week's ITMA, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from today until the 29 September, will provide the perfect opportunity to meet with members of an enthusiastic team which in 2010 was responsible for installing over 300 production lines - perhaps an all-time record - and claims to have the widest nonwovens machinery range of any manufacturer anywhere.
Headquartered in JiangSu, China, Ying Yang's individual machines and complete lines encompass units for spunbond production, geotextile plants, nonwoven carpets, artificial leather substrates, asphalt felts and car interlining lines, along with high-loft thermally bonded and chemical bonding production lines, to name just a few.
Ying Yang's says its machines are accredited to carry the China Famous Trademark - making them unique in the industry.
Over the past year, the company's lines for needlepunched carpets, geotextiles and synthetic leather substrates are said to have proved particularly popular, but for Liyuan Fan, who founded the company in 1993, it is engineering flexibility and know-how, which continues to win Ying Yang new customers - literally on a daily basis.
"Of course we do have a price advantage, and this is important," he says. "This advantage, however, is largely because we have the economics of scale in place and are able to rationalise many products into a design which allows virtually continuous production methods. This gives us enormous advantages in the economics of production."
The addition of the company's latest 7,000-square-metre workshop - completed in March 2011 - will further add to this capability.
Just as critical is the company's policy of continuous co-operation on research and development with the universities in China. In fact, the company has recruited more than 40 graduate engineers from such universities in the last 18 months alone. Ying Yang's total empoyees, including technical/sales and production staff, now number over 500 people.
"We will continue to improve all aspects of our machinery and service and we will also expand our current presence to many other new areas in the future," says Mr Fan.
"As part of our expansion policy we are also drawing on the experience and advice of Western consultants who have many years of practical nonwoven experience in many fields. At Ying Yang we are well aware that price alone is not enough, and as such, everyone in the company is committed to continually improving quality, technical performance and customer relations and service."
A proven track record of reliability is evidenced by the fact that Ying Yang - whichis already fully CE certified and also ISO 9000 accredited - successfully secures repeat business from many of its customers.
"We have established a reputation for timely delivery and excellent and friendly service and customer care - in fact we can normally be contacted seven days a week if required," Mr Fan concludes.
"This coming ITMA in Barcelona is our first overseas exhibition and we look forward to demonstrating our standard of workmanship and discussing how we can best help your company."
