First introduced at Expofil, leader exhibition in the yarns and fibres sector, in February of 2011, the Newlife polymer range is now used by over fifty associate companies to obtain textiles  for many applications; fashion, outdoor clothing, sportswear and technical outfitting, underwear, workwear, medical and protective clothing, not to mention home furnishing, interior and outdoor design.

Cost effective

The production of one kilogram of Newlife allows a reduction of energy consumption by 60%, a reduction of CO2 emissions by 32% and water savings of 94% compared to virgin polyester as stated by the study of Life Cycle Assessment conducted by ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification).

Today this system continues to reach its goals. Newlife is seen on the most prestigious red carpets of the world, worn by divas and celebrities, thanks to the collaboration with C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy), the international platform founded by Giusy Bettoni to promote eco-sustainable products, itself partner of the Green Carpet Challenge project of Livia Firth.

Newlife on Net-a-porter.com

One of the achievements of the Newlife platform has been to play a key role in the new project launched last September by Livia Firth, Creative Director of Eco-Age.com and founder of the Green Carpet Challenge (GCC) in partnership with Natalie Massenet, founder of the first online fashion retailer, the giant Net-a-porter.

The liaison led to the creation of an exclusive capsule collection, which has involved five major designers of the British fashion scene. Christopher Bailey (Burberry), Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane, Erdem and Roland Mouret have embraced a sustainable style, each of them having designed two garments according to the values of the Green Carpet Challenge.

Burberry has used Newlife textiles in a cotton blend, Erdem chose Newlife fabrics for both its garments: a black and white skirt and a candid white dress with contrasting black profiles in silk and Newlife blend (45% silk and 55% Newlife).

The capsule collection, sold exclusively on Net-a-porter.com, supports the projects of (RED), an organisation dedicated to fighting the spread of HIV, with 20% of their revenue.

Partners of Newlife

The fashion brands that chose Newlife for the collections dedicated to the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 at an international level, include BROWN Clothes, a creator of garments that are conceptual, contemporary and environmentally friendly; Cus, a project by the designer Adriana Zalacain; Flavialarocca, which has finished an important turning point towards a production of low environmental impact.

Hatastic, which has launched a line of hats in collaboration with Thrashion for its summer Board Collection, is also using Newlife for its garments. Houdini has proposed stretch knits, created from Newlife. Vaute Couture, a first brand of vegan fashion, is using recycled materials such as satin that is not made of silk, but is 100% Newlife.

Ventisettebi brand focuses on innovation, textiles and manufacturing that is exclusively Italian, materials and processes that are authentically responsible towards the environment and people, within which Newlife stands out.
