Ahlstrom is to consolidate its nonwoven wipes fabrics manufacturing platform in
Italy, with the aim of increasing capacity, efficiency and breadth of product
range, the company said in a statement today.
Ahlstrom says the production of wipes will be located in two
out of three existing manufacturing sites, Mozzate and Cressa, while the Carbonate

today, Ahlstrom Corporation says the recovery of demand that started towards
the end of 2009, continued in January-March 2010.
The company says that since sales prices in most business areas
are being increased to cover rising raw material costs, and sales volumes seem
to be developing slightly more favourably than anticipated, the net sales

scheduled for today, Fiberweb’s Chairman Malcolm Coster was expected to say in
an interim statement that the company had made a solid start to trading in
2010, ahead of the equivalent period last year.
The company is said to have benefited from the continued
resilience of the hygiene business, especially at the FitesaFiberweb joint
venture, as well as from a strong performance in the European Industrial
business.

Vienna stock exchange and a leader in the manufacture of cellulose fibres, has acquired
a 75 % share in Czech pulp producer Biocel Paskov A.S. Biocel’s owner, Austrian
