EDANA, the leading global association of the nonwovens and related industries, has announced the winner of the inaugural Outlook Asia Award, which recognises a product or service developed in or produced for the Asia Pacific and Indian subcontinent region.

Patricia Featherstone, Chair of the EDANA Board of Governors announced H.B. Fuller as the winner of the Award during the final day of the conference for its CHM-1088ZP core adhesive. The conference delegates had to choose between H.B. Fuller and Mobi-Air to decide which of two finalist companies should be recognised for best meeting the needs of the nonwovens and personal care products supply chain.

“We congratulate H.B. Fuller and their core adhesive as the first-ever winner of the Outlook Asia Award. It was an incredible close result, highlighting the innovative nature of the nonwovens and related industries. We also recognise Mobi-Air as the runner-up, and wish them the best of luck in delivering their filtration solution to the industry,” said Featherstone.

Latest developments

EDANA believed that this Outlook Asia conference was the perfect time to point the spotlight back on the industry, and give companies the opportunity to highlight their latest developments, and what products or services they had developed to meet the unique, but broad markets of Asia Pacific and Indian subcontinent.

“There is a wealth of opportunity across the region, not simply because of access to resources, or the ability to draw on a large number of educated, resourceful and entrepreneurial individuals, but also because here in Asia, you can find almost every consumer imaginable, and the companies who aim to either innovate here, or produce products specifically for the local consumer,” commented Abby Bailey, Director of Marketing and Communications at EDANA.

Support for the industry

Outlook Asia offers the nonwovens personal care products supply chain, access to and support in this leading region. The conference, organised by EDANA, offers delegates networking opportunities with participants from across the global personal care products supply chain, facilities for additional business meetings and top level speakers, presenting topics tailored to the needs of executives from the personal care products industry.

EDANA serves 250 companies across 36 countries in the nonwovens and related industries. Its mission is to create the foundation for sustainable growth of the nonwovens and related industries through active promotion, education and dialogue.
