Archroma, a leader in specialty chemicals, will participate in the upcoming China Outdoor Sports Industry Summit 2014 that will take place from 12-14 March at the Crowne Plaza Century Park Hotel, Shanghai, China.

Supporting technologies

During the event, Paul Cowell, Apparel and Interior Marketing Manager for Archroma in Asia, will discuss how working with brand owners and retailers of new sports textiles and chemical innovation is supporting the development of different technologies.

These include techniques allowing brighter colours, water resistance, dirt repellence, heat management, cosmetic ingredients release, as well as hygiene and moisture management.

Focus on sustainability

With the growing awareness of consumers and NGOs about how products are made, brands and retailers are under growing pressure to come up with technologies not only offering the best function and fashion, but also more sustainable, the company reports.

Archroma has developed a One Way tool to help brand owners, retailers and textile manufacturers to identify and select products and processes that can help them on the way towards more sustainable textiles.

Archroma’s One Way sustainability service is the winner of the prestigious ICIS Innovation Award for Best Business Innovation 2013. The award confirms Archroma's strong commitment to innovation with world-class quality standards, high service levels, cost-efficiency and sustainability.
