Dr. Cool relief and recovery products, featuring award-winning, patented Coolcore fabrics, has exhibited for the first time at the Chain Drug Marketing Association (CDMA) annual tradeshow that took place from 2-4 February in Las Vegas.

Dr. Cool has presented its collection of chemical-free cooling towels and reusable ice compression wraps to the national group of regional drug chains, independent pharmacies, regional drug wholesalers, specialty distributors and buying groups represented by the CDMA.

"Our team is extremely excited to introduce the Dr. Cool brand and our award-winning, patented products to CDMA members," said Nick Skally, vice president of branding and marketing for Dr. Cool. "CDMA members will benefit greatly by providing our innovative, chemical-free products that provide their customers relief or help them recover more quickly."

Awards and patents

Dr. Cool has received awards and patents that solidify its position as the leader in the instant cooling towel and cooling accessories categories. Coolcore, the parent company of Dr. Cool, owns U.S Patent No. 8,440,119 for its cooling material innovation.

Coolcore was also issued U.S. Patent No. 9,121,642 for Method of Cooling an Object with a Fabric. This patent covers activation that includes wetting the item, wringing out excess liquid, and snapping or waving the fabric to activate the moisture control through the fabric, which applies to all instant cooling towels on the market.

Ice compression wraps

Dr. Cool ice compression wraps are the easiest way for people to wrap their bumps, bruises and sprains and each size works for a variety of body parts, according to the manufacturer. Dr. Cool instant cooling towels are designed to help consumers stay cool in the hottest conditions, whether they're at the gym, in the garden, playing sports or simply taking a walk in the woods.

Coolcore cooling fabrics were recognised with an award for Cooling Power from the Hohenstein Institute. Additionally, Coolcore recently won the award for Best Innovation – Sports and Outdoor Apparel from the ITMA Future Materials Awards, which are organized by the World Textile Information Network (WTIN).

Coolcore

Coolcore LLC is the leader in chemical-free thermoregulation fabrics and develops those performance fabrics for a wide-range of consumer brands and products.

The patented collection of award-winning fabrics aims to deliver three distinct functions to Coolcore customers — wicking, moisture circulation and regulated evaporation — going beyond traditional moisture-management textiles by managing thermoregulation and reducing surface fabric temperature up to 30% lower than skin temp when moisture is present.
