Hyosung, a leading elastane producer, has launched a new eco friendly elastane, ‘creora easy scour’, designed to reduce water usage and improve mill quality, at the Paris Mode City Interfilière show that took place from 5-7 July in Paris.

The new product is also said to enhance the colour appearance of fabric. “We developed this technology using our proprietary finish to meet the needs of mills who are using finer gauge knitting and finer yarns for more delicate fabrics,” explained President CH Kim.

Fibre features

The new product’s properties include:

  • Creora Color+ for deeper darker colours and reduced grin through
  • creora highclo super chlorine resistant spandex for long lasting performance swimwear
  • creora Power Fit higher power spandex/elastane and enhanced compression and shaping
  • creora easy scour elastane/spandex for easier scouring, reduced water usage and improved mill quality
  • creora eco soft low heat settable elastane/spandex
  • MIPAN aqua x for cool touch & moisture management
  • MIPAN supermicrodenier for soft touch, sensual fabrics

“This new creora easy scour elastane has environmental and quality benefits as the reduced residual oil on fabric surface after scouring will allow mills to dye and finish more effectively,” said CH Kim.

“This is important as we see colour, softness, compression, shaping, fit, and function continuing to drive  consumer demand as illustrated in our 2016 trends.”

Dalliance

A frivolous and romantic mood inspires this direction as creora easy scour is said to enhance colour, lightweight, decorative, and sheer warp and circular knit fabrics.

A frisson of excitement exudes from innovative surfaces, whether true in form or optically alluded.

Serendipity

There is a lively and playful spirit to this trend achieved through the touch of the fabrics with new MIPAN super microdenier 30/68 nylon in colour and prints with ‘creora Color+’ for deeper darker colours.

Close encounter

Technically advanced, shaping fabrics make the most of creora eco soft in creating lighter high compression fabrics that deliver a smoothing, shaping and uplifting look but are actually comfortable to wear 24/7, the company reports.

Counterbalance

The motion of the body with fit and function is key, as core stability and soft touch, complete with moisture management and cooling from MIPAN Aqua X nylon, combined with creora Color+.

Propel

As fitness continues to be an integral part of consumers’ lives, the need for high performance swimwear fabrics continues.

Core compression and lighter weight fabrics that propel the body and enhance performance feature ‘creora highclo’ chlorine resistant spandex/elastane for longevity.

Mirage

Fantasy and optical illusion reigns, there is a need for a great colour delivery and print direction for this grouping, according to the manufacturer.

Evolution

A quirky retro mood with inspiration from early Technicolor movies, fabrics react through hue but also through movement as light fluidity features ‘creora Power Fit’.

There is a strong connection between a fashion delivery and the technical fibres on offer, classic muted prints that pull from the past but are reworked into delivering a heightened sense of femininity.
