OrganoClick awarded Täby's environmental prize

The Swedish cleantech company OrganoClick has been awarded with Täby municipality's environmental prize 2015 for its work with green chemistry and fibre based material.

“It's an honour to be awarded with Täby municipality's environmental prize. We are very happy to be located in Täby and are now expanding our business rapidly due to a growing demand of our eco-labelled products,” said Mårten Hellberg, CEO OrganoClick during the price giving ceremony.

The prize giving ceremony was held during Täby municipality's yearly industry day. The prize was given out by Täby's municipal commissioner Annika Nordgren.

Täby's Environmental Award

The Täby's Environmental Award recognises individuals, associations or companies who have made a valuable contribution to the environment in Täby.

The Täby municipality holds the environmental award every year, highlighting the importance of sustainability issues in the region. Participants in the competition must have a connection to Täby, and the environmental contribution nominated should offer some benefits for the environment in the municipality.

Environmentally friendly fibre chemistry

OrganoClick is a public Swedish cleantech company that develops, produces and markets functional materials based on environmentally friendly fibre chemistry.

Examples of products that are marketed by OrganoClick are the water repellent fabric treatment OrganoTex, the flame and rot-resistant timber OrganoWood and biocomposite materials.

The company was founded in 2006 as a commercial spin-off company based on research performed at Stockholm University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences within environmentally friendly fibre chemistry.

OrganoClick has won a number of prizes and received a number of awards, such as the WWF Climate Solver award, and has also appeared for two years on the Affärsvärldens and NyTekniks list of Sweden's top 33 hottest technology companies.
