The overall response from the exhibitors and visitors at the latest edition of Techtextil North America was confirmation that they were pleased with the show and venue, organisers say. The tenth edition of Techtextil North America took place from 19-21 March at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California.

Voith Paper, one of the largest family owned companies in Europe with 42,000 employees, is partnering with nonwovens machinery supplier Trützschler Nonwovens to offer complete production lines for manufacturing of wet laid and hydro entangled nonwovens. The aim of the collaboration is the joint development and marketing of innovative and economical production equipment.

Statistics reveal that spinning line capacities are becoming increasingly large The majority of recent installations for polyester have been spinning lines directly connected to a common reactor. Lines of this kind are economically prudent, although flexibility is very limited compared to extruder spinning lines. German manufacturer of fibre processing equipment and lines for nonwovens production Autefa will be taking its innovative solutions to the IDEA 13 conference and expo in April, which takes place in Miami, Florida.

The DiloGroup will present its portfolio of fibre processing equipment to the Turkish market when it exhibits at the ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013 which is being held together with the Hightex 2013 in Istanbul from 29 May to 1 June. This exhibition is also an important platform for the East Mediterranean, Southwest and Central Asian markets in general.

Textile machinery manufacturer Oerlikon Neumag will be presenting its diverse range of products and services at the Domotex Asia / Chinafloor exhibition, which takes place from 26-28 March 2013. The Neumünster based company says that although China has the greatest manmade fibre capacities in the world, the country is considered to be a small BCF (bulk continuous filament) market with development potential based on its consumer habits, for the domestic market as well as for the budding export market.

FibeRio, the developer and manufacturer of novel Forcespinning nanofiber production systems has announced it has completed a $13M capital raising exercise led by two global strategic investors – SABIC Ventures B.V., Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s corporate venture capital arm, and Aster Capital Partners, sponsored by Solvay, Schneider Electric, Alstom and the European investment fund.
