A market leading in the manufacturing of industrial machine needles Groz-Beckert will take part in the Shanghai International Nonwovens Conference & Exhibition (SINCE) from 23-25 October, where it will present the latest highlights in the field of felting needles and jet strips.

SINCE is one of the of the major exhibitions for nonwovens worldwide and serves more than 400 exhibitors from 30 countries as a platform for the communication about the nonwovens industry in Asia.

High quality at high production speeds

At SINCE Groz-Beckert will be showcasing its new EcoStar felting needle as the first result of the ‘Innovations Initiative Nonwovens’. According to the company, in comparison with standard needles it offers users an improved surface quality of the end product, longer service life combined with reduced energy consumption, and the fibre transport has a lower penetration force, but the same efficiency.

Another topic is the GEBECON needle, which is said to provide the good surface quality of the end product as well as good bending resistance properties. Due to its high stability and flexibility the felting needle with patented technology is suited for extreme challenges such as very high production speeds, the company reports.

Consistent development

The twisted needle is the latest supplement of the nonwovens product range. The needle with the special needle geometry is  said to offer numerous advantages, such as an even product surface and improved tensile strength of the end product, and higher production speed or potential savings of raw material.
