Karl Mayer will take part in this year’s Techtextil India trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, that will take place from 3-5 October in Mumbai.

The company will display its products at an information booth set up at the joint exhibition stand of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In the spotlight

The focus at this edition of the show for Karl Mayer will be on the topics related to the manufacture of shade nets and mosquito nets as well as other semi-technical warp-knitted articles and spacer fabrics.

Recently at Techtextil in Frankfurt, the company put the  spotlight on 3D textiles,  showcasing room elements made from warp-knitted, sound-absorbing spacer textiles.

In addition to the manufacturing possibilities of tricot and raschel machines, Karl Mayer Malimo will be presenting its warp-knitting machines equipped with magazine weft insertion system. The stable weft-inserted structures have already been used in India as geotextiles and coating/backing substrates.

The reinforcing textiles made on Karl Mayer Malimo’s high-performance Multiaxial machines, are being employed for  different applications in the composites sector.

Expectations

Considering its specific, target-oriented presentation at the fair, Karl Mayer expects  high visitor interest. “Techtextil India has always been well attended. India has been showing a high readiness to use modern textiles. Nevertheless, this business still needs some time to develop,” said Axel Wintermeyer,  Sales Director at Karl Mayer Malimo.

Mr Wintermeyer hopes to have good discussions with visitors and clients, and to be able to sign some machine contracts. Karl Mayer’s exhibition programme at Techtextil India will be supplemented by information on the company’s warp preparation machines designed for the processing of technical yarns.
